NIGHT TRACKDAY SEPT 9th 2018

Sepang International Circuit organizing another track-day during night time on september 9th 2018

We were testing the ZX10R 2013 machine for performance data collection. Smooth trackday and the bike in good condition
Unfortunately, the rider down almost 3 times during the test on track probably cause by the tire pressure issue. We able to solve the and planning to test the machine again next month.

Overall what we can conclude from the test. Night track-day is totally different from daylight track.
Track temperature, view clearance, lighting at corner and many more.
Tyre pressure for example, we need to have around 26 psi rear and 28 psi for front tire. Advised to use tire warmer for your safety since the track is not warm as day light condition.
We need to improve in braking system and suspension

The bike is standard condition, no engine modification at all. The rider able to get 280kmj at straight line (Grand-stand)

Slick Tyre

SLICK TYRE Tyre that most of bikers use on track either for race or track-day. However this tyre are not suitable to be use on public road, but, it up to u bro. Soft compound material provide excellent grip on the road especially when u hit the cornering. There's basic info you need to know if you want to use this kind of tyre Tyre size Make sure you aware of you bike tyre specification. Of course its different between 1000cc, 800cc, 600cc and 250cc. Tyre spec The most popular tire used is sc1 or sc2 SC2 need around 55 degree Celsius of work temperature SC1 need around 48 degree Celsius of work temperature Most of bikers use tyre warmer for this purpose, so that they don't have to warm up the tire on the track. Manual warm up on track take around 20km distance Tyre Pressure As the tire get hot on the track, the existing pressure will raise since the air molecule move rapidly inside the tire. Normally, 28 psi...

WHAT WILL YOU DO!!!???

WHAT WILL YOU DO You have a nice new car. new tyre, latest design, auto transmission. There is a situation while you drive your car at 150kmh, suddenly your brake fail to function. What will you do? Choice 1 . Pull the hand brake Choice 2 Turn off the engine Choice 3 Turn the gear to Neutral The explaination Choice 1 Pull the handbrake- Please remember when u pull the handbrake, the car will drift and hard to control. You might lose control of your car and high possiblity your car will spin. Fatal lost. Choice 2 Turn off the engine- When you turn off the engine, automatically it will lock the steering. OMG, you total lost control of the car and you will get through whatever in front of your car. Imagine if you hit trailer or a lorry. Choice 3 Turn the gear to Neutral (N) -This is the step you should do. Dont panic and put the gear to neutral. Steer your car to the safe area, maybe to the road shoulder. The speed will decrease, and control your car until it stop. ...

COUNTER-STEERING

Hi all. Today I like to share about counter-steering. The popular term in "racer" discussion. Counter-steer is the term, which mean the rider need to  momentarily steering counter to the desired direction ("steer left to turn right").  When counter-steering applied, its automatically will lean down your bike just before entering the corner. As mention, its only for a moment. After the bike lean, the rider need to follow the turn direction and control the bike speed and lean angle . Remember, to get lower lean angle corner, U need to have high speed during the cornering, Watch MM93 cornering.
